About Harris Institute
The World Is Our Classroom
Our vision is to produce “world-class experiential learning, thoughtful leadership, and Christian service for global impact.”
We believe that learning knows no borders. The world itself is our classroom. We travel, teach, and learn together. Our mission is to explore the interconnection between theology and practice, nurturing leaders who embody education, service, and Christ-centered leadership.
We have established three initial Global Conceptual Centers as part of this vision:
- Oxford & Cambridge (college towns in the UK): Convening two Global Think Tanks that gather leaders and scholars to address pressing issues of faith, leadership, and the public square.
- Accra & Kumasi (urban cities in Ghana): Leading experiential learning journeys that foster cross-cultural understanding and youth empowerment—through museums, slave castles, village outreach, Ghanaian worship and traditional cuisine, drumming, and dance.
- Ruhija (highlands in Uganda): Supporting the Bakiga Tribe to provide primary and adult education, orphan care, medical assistance, sustainable farming practices, and business development.
These select destinations model the broad landscapes that make up the cities of the world. While they are the initial global centers, our vision is to establish more of them in various regions of the world, on all of the continents.
Through our global centers, we are mentoring teenagers, cultivating a global community of learning, and raising up leaders to advance the mission of Christ worldwide through education, leadership, and service.

Join Our Virtual Community of Learning
We are building a global community of study and experiential learning. When you take our online courses, you learn from scholar-practitioners in theological education. Our instructors have taught at some of the best seminaries and universities. They have also served the local church as pastors and ministry leaders.
A place to belong, to learn, and to be sent. Lifelong theological learning for the whole church.
At the Harris Institute, we believe that learning never stops. Our Virtual Community of Learning opens the door for people across the globe to grow together in faith and understanding. Using Zoom, we gather face-to-face in real time, creating space for meaningful connection, conversation, and discovery—no matter where you live.
We are a Spirit-filled community with a deep love for Jesus, rooted in Scripture and committed to the life of the local church. Our heartbeat is to follow Paul’s charge “to equip the saints for the work of ministry.” Here, you’ll find encouragement, challenge, and companionship for the journey of faith.

A Mentoring Group for Teen Boys
This mentoring group is dedicated to shaping teen boys into cultured, educated, and responsible Christian leaders who embody faith, integrity, and excellence. The program nurtures spiritual growth rooted in Christian principles while equipping participants with the skills and values needed to live successful lives and lead in their families and the community.
Through mentorship, discipleship, and practical training, participants will deepen their understanding of God’s Word, develop strong character, and learn how to live out their faith in every aspect of life. The program also incorporates cultural enrichment, leadership development, global missions, and academic guidance to prepare young men to lead with wisdom, compassion, and courage.
Program Highlights:
- Build healthy friendships: Get to know each other and build lasting friendships.
- Spiritual Growth: Explore Scripture, prayer, and worship to build a strong foundation in faith.
- Global Missions: Travel to participate in mission opportunities and gain greater appreciation for the broader world.
